Recollections of Dad by Pat Dad loved a chat, a pint, and his food! Nothing pleased him more than having his family around him, that's when he was at his happiest. I have fond memories of eating fish and chips and winkles on Hastings seafront followed by conversations of his army days over a beer in the pub. Nothing made me prouder than when dad and Christine came to Australia to visit us, it was such a pleasure acting as tour guide and showing them our new found home. Even today we say "Pizza delivery" when we hear a cicada, the name they gave it when they were here! Dad taught me that hard work is everything, if you want something you have to go out and earn it, advice I still follow today. I have many fond memories of dad but one thing that brings a smile to my face every time I see one are the Kimberley Clark towel holders on toilet walls. Funny that!
